This is my last chance to upload some photos, so I thought I would show some beach shots, as well as a picture of Todd attempting to stain our exterior walls in our hut. Most of you have never been to the hut, so you are probably not aware of how incredibly high up the walls are (4 meters for one part?). To stain them, we had to resort to some creative thinking, which involved rollers, a long pole, a very tall latter, and strong muscles. Luckily for me Todd seemed to think he should do this particular job. Whew!
The other shots are of Todd at the beach of Mae Hat, after some snorkeling and looking at fish. Looks nice huh? However remember that we only went to the beach twice, so this is by no means a final portrait of what we did for our 3 weeks.
The last few days have been in Bangkok, which are invariably busy, with lots of time on the skytrain, buses, and walking around. It’s interesting to be here after being in Yangon, because I always think of Bangkok as being very polluted, and it is. However in Yangon there is often a smell of burning and car exhaust in the air, which definitely makes it feel more polluted. Which is worse? Hard to say.
So tomorrow our plans are to fly out, so I will no longer be able to post pictures or possibly post or read comments. Just so you all know. Take care!
Love, Meghan
